has anyone ever bothered to work out how much pollution the tyre smoking on ever landing produces?
That's an interesting question! While I don't have exact numbers, I know that aviation authorities and environmental researchers are continuously studying the environmental impact of various aspects of aviation, including tire smoke during landings. Generally, the tire smoke produced on landing doesn't contribute much to overall pollution compared to other sources. Aircraft manufacturers are also working on ways to reduce overall emissions and environmental impact. Thanks for bringing this up!

With no passengers, no cargo, and minimal fuel then no surprise that that sort of climb is possible for short time.
Those new engines are very powerful. Boeing 777X can do that takeoff fully loaded.

I think you're wrong with your 3rd fact in the description. The final assembly line was in Toulouse, France and not in Germany. You inverted the countries.
Thank you for correcting me. I see that after the final assembly, the aircraft were flown to the Airbus Hamburg-Finkenwerder plant for furnishing and painting.
